Carlinya

An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah. She joins the Salidar Aes Sedai. She is one of Sheriam's group who are the original leaders at Salidar. She has no Warder.

Physical Description

She is pale and cold. (TGH,Ch4) She has dark hair. (TFoH,Ch26) She is pale with almost black eyes. (LoC,Ch7) After most of her hair is fried off in a nightmare she wears it in a cap of dark curls. (LoC,Ch15)

Chronology

As novices and Accepted, Siuan, Leane, Sheriam get into more than their share of trouble. Carlinya on the other hand, commits exactly one minor infraction per month so she will not seem to be a prig. (TFoH,Ch27)
Tamra Ospenya summons all Accepted including Carlinya to the Oval Lecture Hall where she announces a bounty for women who recently gave birth. (NS,Ch3)
The Accepted including Carlinya scramble back to their rooms and prepare to leave the White Tower to take the census. (NS,Ch4)
Carlinya arrives at Fal Dara as part of the Amyrlin Seat's entourage. (TGH,Ch2)

Sheriam, Anaiya, Beonin, Carlinya, Morvrin and Myrelle meet with Elayne and Nynaeve when they arrive in Salidar. They learn that Elaida already knows about Salidar. They are anxious to learn about Tel'aran'rhiod. (TFoH,Ch50)
Sheriam, Anaiya, Beonin, Carlinya, Morvrin and Myrelle keep Elayne and Nynaeve busy at night with trips to Tel'aran'rhiod. (TFoH,Ch54)
Nynaeve and Elayne take Siuan, Leane, Anaiya, Beonin, Carlinya, Morvrin, Myrelle and Sheriam to the White Tower in Tel'aran'rhiod. After Nynaeve and Leane leave, the rest are trapped in a nightmare until Elayne can rescue them. (LoC,Ch7)
Nynaeve eavesdrops while Tarna Feir meets with Sheriam, Anaiya, Beonin, Carlinya, Morvrin and Myrelle in the Little Tower. They tell her they need more time to consider Elaida's offer. (LoC,Ch12)
Carlinya suggests to the Wise Ones that they are holding Egwene against her will. They put snakes in her dress for the insult. (LoC,Ch15)
Nynaeve and Elayne tell Sheriam, Carlinya and Morvrin about finding the Bowl of the Winds. The Aes Sedai tell them in no uncertain terms that they will stay in Salidar and study. Nynaeve blows up earning them extended kitchen duty. (LoC,Ch15)
After Nynaeve Heals Logain, Beonin and Carlinya bring in Siuan and Leane to the Little Tower to be Healed. (LoC,Ch30)
Sheriam, Anaiya, Beonin, Carlinya, Morvrin, Myrelle and Siuan meet with Amys, Bair and Egwene in the Heart of the Stone in Tel'aran'rhiod. The Aes Sedai summon Egwene to Salidar. (LoC,Ch32)
Sheriam, Anaiya, Beonin, Carlinya, Morvrin, Myrelle and Siuan are meeting when Egwene arrives. They tell her she is to be the next Amyrlin Seat. (LoC,Ch34)
Sheriam and her circle prepare Egwene for the ceremony. Sheriam, Morvrin and Myrelle accompany Egwene to the Little Tower while Anaiya, Beonin and Carlinya wait outside. (LoC,Ch35)

The sisters who swore fealty to Egwene are still unsettled by it. Carlinya starts and looks embarrassed every time she sees Egwene. (TPoD,Ch16)
Anaiya, Beonin, Carlinya, Morvrin, Myrelle, Nisao, Sheriam and their Warders accompany Egwene and Gareth Bryne when they scout Tar Valon. Carlinya is annoyed when she hears that Saroiya supports negotiations. (CoT,Ch16)
Egwene and her party return to the Salidar Aes Sedai camp. Her Council members go to report to the heads of their respective Ajahs. (CoT,Ch17)
Egwene's Council accompanies her to the meeting of the Hall. Carlinya gives advice on what the Sitters might do. (CoT,Ch19)
