When Fain slices Rand with the ruby dagger Samitsu partially Heals him saving his life. When Flinn does even more she wants to learn from him. (ACoS,Ch36)
She is by Rand's side with Corele and Cadsuane when he wakes. (ACoS,Ch41)
When Cadsuane leads an expedition to Far Madding to find Rand, she leaves Samitsu in charge of the Sun Palace. (CoT,Prologue)
