Else Grinwell

Pronunciation: EHLZ GRIHN-wehl

The eldest daughter of nine children. The Grinwells live on a farm between Whitebridge and Arien. She is not more than a year younger than Rand and Mat.

Physical Description

Dark-haired, big-eyed and pretty. (TEotW,Ch31) She has dark hair in braids. She is plump and rather pretty. (TDR,Ch25)

Chronology

Rand and Mat stop at the Grinwell's farm. Else flirts with Rand. (TEotW,Ch31)
Else runs away from home and goes to the White Tower to become Aes Sedai. She shirks her chores and is always in trouble. (TGH,Ch24)

As Nynaeve, Egwene, Elayne and Min leave the White Tower, they see Irella dragging an unhappy Else Grinwell by the ear. (TGH,Ch39)
