Raen

The Mahdi, or Seeker, for a band of Tinkers. He is married to Ila, and Aram is their grandson.

Physical Description

He is wiry, gray-haired and short. (TSR,Ch41)

Perrin, Egwene and Elyas arrive at Raen's camp. He greets them and tells the story of a band of Tinkers finding an Aiel Maiden with a story about the Eye of the World. (TEotW,Ch25)
Raen and Elyas spend much of their time talking. Raen wishes them well when they leave. (TEotW,Ch27)
Dain Bornhald sends Farran with orders for Raen that he is not allowed to move north. (TSR,Ch31)
Raen and Ila greet Perrin's party and welcome them into the Tinker camp. (TSR,Ch41)
Raen and Ila bid farewell to Perrin and his band as they leave the Tinker camp. (TSR,Ch42)
Raen, Ila, Aram and the rest of the surviving Tinkers make their way to Emond's Field after their camp is attacked by Trollocs. (TSR,Ch45)
